My Background

I trained at the SMAE Institute in Maidenhead and qualified in 2012 as a Foot Health Professional and registered with The British Association of Foot Health Professionals.

Prior to this I had spent over 27 years in Human Resourcing, 20 years at management level and 7 years as a Director. During this time I also undertook Youth Work for Torfaen C B C and became a Volunteer Drug and Alcohol Counselor with New Llink Wales a charitable organisation based in Cardiff, providing specialist training for private and public companies and organisations across Wales. I later sat on the Board of Directors representing the Volunteers.

Caring in the workplace and public domain are my interests. I enjoy communicating with people of all ages and backgrounds and decided to combine all my skills and retrain for a new career in feet, so important and yet often neglected.

My goals are now to help people maintain healthy feet, to educate and promote foot health to the best of my skills and knowledge. So I set up Blackwood Foot Health Clinic early in 2013 to help achieve these goals.
